MJ FAQ’s
There are a few questions that I’m asked so regularly that I thought it best to start this category on the blog called ‘MJ FAQ’s’ and answer them once and for all within it. First up – a question last asked by a guy calling himself ‘Badger from Norwich’ on my Facebook (and I’ll have to paraphrase him as he was unable to ask the question without swearing)
“Why do you play jingles/sound effects/talk over any new music or exclusives you have on your radio show?”

Chase & Status Interview: Part 1

Chase & Status are back with a new single, the ferocious Let You Go which features new talent Mali and is released on August 15.

Rusko: The Lost Dubs Part 1 & 2

I completely missed this. Rusko dropped some new music this week. Well when I say new, it’s actually old musc that did not get released.
Professor Green: “It’s taken me so long to get here”

If you’re one of Professor Green’s thirty-odd thousand followers on Twitter, you’ll know that the man is currently in full album cycle mode and is clocking up some serious miles as he promotes his debut album, Alive Till I’m Dead. With each day bringing a different city, more public appearances and increasingly less sleep, the Hackney MC could be forgiven for not wanting to increase his workload.
But to his credit, having tracked him down as he was wandered the streets of Sheffield, literally minutes before he was scheduled to perform at the city’s free Tramlines music festival, Pro was more than happy to stop and have a chat about his new album, his future plans and those comparisons with Eminem.
Sunday Debate: Genres?
Last night during my Radio 1 & Radio 1Xtra show, I had a trance fan post several times on my Facebook page that they thought Skream, Benga & Artwork’s Magnetic Man are a Trance act rather than Dubstep as they have used a ‘trancey synth’ on “I Need Air”. (more…)
