Scorzayzee’s “Luv Me” video exclusive

Scorzayzee - Luv Me Cover

Way back in the mists of time (November 2009), Scorzayzee’s “Luv Me” was my Jam Hot and we were told it would be ‘aaaht soon’ (which is Notts for out soon)…

Majestic – In Da Vip

Been supporting the original version of this on my show for a good long time (over a year) and stepped up that support when Majestic sent me the remix in November.

Big Boi’s Shutterbugg Video…

MistaJam & Big Boi throwing those deuces for the Shutterbugg

Even though when I met him last week and showed him the video I shot during my Saturday night show (and his reply was that I’m “a baaad mother f**ker”) Big Boi has gone and shot a rather sick video for ‘Shutterbugg’

KYLA – DON’T PLAY WITH MY HEART

Really feeling this song – new from Kyla, she of Crazy Cousinz “Do You Mind” vocal fame. She’s taken a new RnB direction and it really works for me – been heavily rotating on my Radio 1Xtra show. Video doesn’t look too bad either!!

TRILLA & MARVELL (NEW VIDEO ROUND UP)

Trilla Jermaine Trilloski isn’t a new name to anyone who’s kept their eye on the Bassline scene past the big 2007 explosion of T2/H20/Platnum/everyone having a bassline remix. Still very much alive and well the Grime of the Midlands and Northern England is still developing and nurturing talent, vibes and potential future crossover artists & producers.

Step forward Trilla (or Trilla Jermaine Trilloski as he’s known now) who currently boasts of being the only Birmingham Bassline Emcee who can get as big a reaction in Essex and London as he does in his hometown – something completely unheard of for 99% of the emcees currently within the scene thanks to underground bangers like ‘G Star’ and the now legendary ‘Etap’. He’s so hot, even Tim’s jumped on the bandwagon, inviting him to perform at his crib sessions and on the In New Music We Trust Weekender show in Newcastle.

Signed to H20′s label ‘Insatiable’ – this is the video for his debut single proper “Who Are Ya”

Sidebar: Oz from H20/Insatiable used to go to Uni with my wife. She didn’t know this until they bumped into each other at one of my gigs in Leicester post the ‘What’s It Gonna Be’ success. Leicester must be a very small place!

I’ve been waiting and waiting for Marvell aka Shocka, Vertex and Double S to put out the Chew Fu version of their Grime hit ‘Trainers (Creps)’ for months – ever since I hooked them up personally with Chew Fu last November – as I think it has some real “crossover without over crossing” potential. Well, I’m told reliably that the delay has been down to some very interesting contracts/deals going down regarding the song which, if it comes off, will be a first for the scene. In the meanwhile, to make sure people don’t forget about them; the Marvell boys have put together a new mixtape “Marvell FM 3″ and have shot the video to this, “Marvell Music”, produced by 17 year old Brummie producer S-X aka Mr Wooooo Riddim….

A LIST – MIDNIGHT LOVER **VIDEO**

The former Jam Hot & World Premiere on my show now gets it’s own video…

Now with an official release date of 3rd May on Wiley’s new label ‘Elusive Ent’ (clever!!). The A List album due to follow June 2nd.

SCORZAYZEE’S FREESTYLE FRENZY

Previously on the blog… Now, I may be bias because I’ve known him since I was 14 and he was then going by the name of S aka Sense but damn if he doesn’t GO IN ON THESE FREESTYLES!!

If you love HipHop and you don’t love this, you don’t really love HipHop. Simples.

The verses over Nas’ “One Love” is like a warm up for the bars he spat over Jay-Z’s “Threats” beat! And the bars on “Threats” were written in the car on the way to 1Xtra hence the paper in his hand while he spat the lyrics. Jheez!

The video for part 2 – using 2Pac’s “Changes” beat is available to watch here. Big shouts to Online Al for the hook up & the editing.

Bloggers, if you wanna re-post the video and need the embed code – holla.

TOO MANY MAN CAUSES A RIOT

The video speaks for itself.

Filmed at Matter, London’s o2 arena at the Under The Radar Halloween event.

RIVERSIDE

Everyone’s going crazy over the Sidney Samson track that damaged so many resorts this Summer & I’ve been spinning on 1Xtra and Radio 1 since August. Well, the track is getting an official release in January 2010 on Data/Ministry of Sound, comes with some amazing remixes courtesy of Breakage & Lil Silva and nearly tears the place apart whenever I spin it in clubs.

For those people wondering where the ‘Riverside motherf*****’ sample the track is built around came from, it’s from one of my favourite films ever ‘Juice’ which was released in the early 90′s and starred a then unknown Tupac alongside Omar Epps & Khalil Kain. This is a classic film that belongs in everyone’s collection and the clip below shows where Sidney Samson got the sample from – caution, it contains swearing & violence

So now you know. “Riverside MOTHERFUDGER!!”

EVE & SKREAM **VIDEO EXCLUSIVE**

Recorded at the Halloween 09 UTR 16-18 year old event at Matter, O2 in London. Skream on the decks for Eve while she performs Me & My. Shouts to Skream for perfecting the ‘nonchalant DJ’ look so many other DJ’s have when spinning for rappers so quickly.
